SUMMARY:16th Workshop in Primary and Secondary Computing Education  (WiPSCE
  2021)
DESCRIPTION:On behalf of the WiPSCE Program Committee, we invite contributi
 ons to\n\nthe 16th Workshop in Primary and Secondary Computing Education \n
 \n(WiPSCE 2021) to be virtually held October 18th to 20th in Erlangen, Germ
 any.\n\nResearch in primary and secondary computing education is a young fi
 eld\n\nwith strong ties to national educational systems. Nevertheless, its\
 n\ntheories, methods, and results are internationally applicable and of\n\n
 interest to researchers and practitioners in the field. WiPSCE aims at\n\ni
 mproving the exchange of research and practice relevant to teaching and\n\n
 learning in primary and secondary computing education, teacher training,\n\
 nand related research.\n\nWiPSCE has its roots in a long-running workshop o
 f the German computing\n\neducation community and is applied for running in
  cooperation with ACM SIGCSE.\n\nTopics of interest include, but are not li
 mited to research on:\n\n- Learning & Teaching: student motivation and enga
 gement, attitudes and\n\nbeliefs, misconceptions and learning difficulties,
  educational\n\napproaches, methods, technologies and tools\n\n- Foundation
 s of CSEd: competence modeling and measurement, assessment,\n\ncurricula an
 d standards, emerging topics for computing education, contests\n\n- Teacher
  education & Institutional aspects: pck in computing,\n\nestablishing and e
 nhancing computing education, (continued) professional\n\ndevelopment, comm
